1. Bishop’s Fund – If you have not yet made your donation for the Bishop's Fund, please do so as soon as possible. We must forward the parish’s total donation next week.

2. Food for the Poor - The Watervliet-Green Island Food Pantry is in need of donations of canned and boxed foods for the needy. God has blessed us with many gifts, let us share our blessings with others and, in this way, we give thanks to God for all He gives to us.

3. Annual Parish Picnic – Reserved at Watervliet Arsenal on Sunday, August 16. Please save the date on your calendar. Watch the bulletin for more details. Hope to see everyone there!

4. Dormition Pilgrimage - will be held in Sloatsburg, NY on August 8-9. Our church has arranged for a bus, which will depart on Sunday August 9 at 6:30 AM and will return at about 6:00 PM. Please sign your name in the back of the Church if you are interested in attending. The contribution is $15 when you board the bus for parishioners and $25 from guests.

5. College Scholarship—It has come to our attention that some college students are not aware of the Warren H. and Pauline Bruggeman Scholarship Fund at R.P.I. for students of Ukrainian descent. For the current year three scholarships have been awarded and we encourage students of Ukrainian heritage to contact the Financial Aid Office at R.P.I. to learn if applications are available for the years you plan to attend the school.

6. Congratulations to all 2009 graduates—May God bless you and guide you in your journeys through life.

7. Summer Time – Effective June 21 Divine Liturgies will be at 8:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

8. Bulletin – will be printed every second week. Please submit your announcements early.

9. Parking: A number of our parishioners drive to church but have difficulty walking. To help them park closer, please refrain from parking in front of the church and for a reasonable distance on the 24th Street side on Sundays and holidays, unless you have difficulty walking yourself.

10. Mary’s Soup Kitchen - Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish has a new project, “Mary’s Soup Kitchen”. It is open on Mondays 3:30 - 5:30 pm in the lower level of St. Patrick’s Church in Watervliet, NY (entrance is on the 5^th Ave side of building). All are welcome.
