Благословення Артоса

МОЛИТВА на благословення артоса  у Святу Неділю Пасхи

До ієрея приносять в олтар артос, тобто хліб, для цього приготований — на ньому, як велить звичай, написаний хрест. Після завершення Божественної Літургії і по заамвонній молитві диякон виголошує:

Господу помолімся.

Лик: Господи, помилуй.

Ієрей читає оцю молитву:

Боже всесильний і Господи Вседержителю, що через Твого раба Мойсея, під час виходу Ізраїля з Єгипту і звільнення Твоїх людей з гіркої неволі фараона, наказав заколоти агнця, прообразуючи добровільно за нас заколеного на хресті Агнця, що бере гріхи всього світу, Твого улюбленого Сина, Господа нашого Ісуса Христа, — Ти і сьогодні, смиренно благаємо Тебе, споглянь на цей хліб, і благослови і освяти його, бо і ми, Твої раби, в честь і славу, і на спомин славного Воскресення Того ж Твого Сина, а Господа нашого Ісуса Христа, через якого ми одержали звільнення від вічного ворожого рабства і нерозв’язних пут ада, свободу і переведення, перед Твоєю величчю нині в цім всесвітлім, преславнім і спасеннім дні Пасхи, його приносимо. А нас, які його приносимо, його цілуємо і з нього їмо, зроби, щоб ми стали причасниками Твого небесного благословення, і всякий біль і недугу Твоєю силою віджени від нас, подаючи всім здоров’я. Бо Ти є джерело благословення і податель зцілення, і Тобі славу возсилаємо, безначальному Отцеві, з Твоїм єдинородним Сином, і Твоїм пресвятим, благим і животворящим Духом, нині і повсякчас і на віки віків. Амінь.

І покроплює освяченою водою, кажучи:

Благословляється і освячується цей артос покропленням цієї священної води, в ім’я Отця і Сина і Святого Духа. Амінь.

Потім ієрей виходить і кладе артос на аналої, а люди, приймаючи антидор, цілують його.

МОЛИТВА  на роздроблення артоса в суботу світлого тижня

Після Божественної Літургії, коли принесено артос, співаємо за звичаєм: Христос воскрес. (3)

Ієрей: Господу помолімся.

Лик: Господи, помилуй.

Ієрей читає оцю молитву:

Господи Ісусе Христе, Боже наш, Ангельський Хлібе, хлібе вічного життя, що зійшов з неба, нагодувавши нас у цих всесвітлих днях духовною поживою Твоїх божественних добродійств, ради тридневного і спасенного воскресення, смиренно благаємо Тебе, зглянься і нині на наші молитви і подяки, і так як Ти поблагословив п’ять хлібів у пустині, і нині благослови цей хліб, щоб усі, що їдять з нього, удостоїлися тілесного і духовного благословення і здоров’я, благодаттю і щедротами Твого чоловіколюб’я. Бо Ти є освячення наше, і Тобі славу возсилаємо, з безначальним Твоїм Отцем, і з всесвятим, благим і животворящим Твоїм Духом, нині і повсякчас, і на віки віків. Амінь.

Роздробивши артос, роздає його всім.

BLESSING OF THE ARTOS

The Usual Beginning (with the solemn doxology.

P: Christ is risen from the dead, by death He conquered Death, and to those in the graves, He granted life. (3)

P: Let us pray to the Lord.

R: Lord, have mercy.

0 Lord, God almighty, Who through your servant Moses, at the exodus of Israel from Egypt, and the liberation of your people from the bitter bondage of Pharaoh, commanded that a lamb be slain, foreshadowing the lamb — your beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ — Who because of our deeds, of His own good will, was slain on the cross, and took away the sins of the whole world; we humbly entreat You, look upon this bread., and bless + ^and sanctify -f it. For we, your servants in honor and glory and commemoration of the glorious resurrection of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom also, we have received freedom and release from the eternal snares of the enemy and the unbreak­able bonds of hell, now before your majesty, on this, exceeding bright, and all-glorious, and saving day of Easter, offer this bread. Grant that we who offer it, and those who shall kiss it and shall taste of it, may be partakers of your heavenly blessings; and by your might root out from us all sickness and infirmity, granting health to all: For You are the Source of all bless­ings, and the Giver of health, and we give glory to You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and forever.

R: Amen.

This Artos is blessed by the sprinkling of this holy water, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

BLESSING AT THE BREAKING  OF THE ARTOS ON THOMAS SUNDAY

P: Let us pray to the Lord.

R: Lord, have mercy.

О Lord Jesus Christ, our God, the Angelic Bread, the Bread of Life everlasting, Who came down from heaven, and have fed us on these festive days with the spiritual food of your divine benefits, for the sake of your three day burial and saving resurrection, we humbly entreat You, as You have blessed the five loaves in the wilderness, so also bless this bread, that all who partake of it may be assured of bodily and spiritual health and blessings, through the grace and bounties of your love toward man­kind: For You are our sanctification, and we give glory to You, with your eternal Father, and your all-holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and forever.

R: Amen.

The dismissal of the Resurrection,

The tropar “Christ is risen” is sung three times.

The priest then breaks the Artos for distribu­tion to the faithful.

BLESSING OF PASCHAL FOOD

BLESSING OF PASCHAL FOOD ON EASTER SUNDAY

P: Glory be to the holy, consubstantial, life- giving and undivided Trinity, now and ever, and forever.   R: Amen.

R: Christ is risen from the dead, by death He conquered Death, and to those in the graves, He granted life. (3)

While everyone is singing “Christ is risen”, the priest incenses the paschal food.

BLESSING OF BREAD

P: Let us pray to the Lord.                                               R: Lord, have mercy.

О holy Lord, Father almighty, eternal God, + bless and sanctify -f this bread with your heavenly blessing, so that it may be for the health of body and salvation of soul to all who partake of it, and that it may be a safeguard against all illness and enemy assaults, through our Lord, Jesus Christ, your only-begotten Son, the Living Bread, which came down from heaven, giving life and salvation to the world, Who lives and reigns with You in union with the Holy- Spirit, now and ever, and forever.  R: Amen.

BLESSING OF MEATS

P: Let us pray to the Lord.                                         R: Lord, have mercy.

О Lord, Jesus Christ, our God, look upon this lamb and all these other flesh meats, bless -f- and sanctify + them as You blessed and sanctified the ram which Abraham offered to You, and the lamb which Abel offered to You in sacrifice; bless and sanctify these meats, as You blessed and sanctified the fattened-calf which You ordered to be slain for your prodigal son, when he returned again to You; so that just as he was considered worthy to enjoy your goodness, so also may we who eat of these meats, blessed and sanctified by You, enjoy your goodness, and obtain your holy Cross and resurrection from the dead on the third day: For You are our true food and the Giver of all good things which You yourself bless and sanctify; and we give glory to You, together with your eternal Father, and your all-holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and forever.

R: Amen.

BLESSING OF DAIRY PRODUCTS

P: Let us pray to the Lord.                                        R: Lord, have mercy.

О God, our Lord and Master, Creator of all things; bless this cheese and butter, these eggs and all the other foods here present; and preserve us in your goodness, so that, as we eat of your gifts which You so readily bestow upon us, we may be filled with your indescribable goodness, for the sake of the glorious resurrec­tion on the third day from the dead of our Lord Jesus Christ: For yours is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and” ever, and forever.

R: Amen.

The priest sprinkles the food with holy water, saying:

These Paschal Foods are blessed and sancti­fied by the sprinkling of this holy water, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Dismissal Prayer

May Christ, our true God, risen from the dead, by death conquering Death and granting *li£e to those in the graves, through the prayers of His most holy Mother and of all the Saints, have mercy on us, and save us, for He is gracious and loves mankind.                

R: Amen

ЧИН БЛАГОСЛОВЕННЯ ПАСОК І ІНШОЇ ПОЖИВИ У НЕДІЛЮ ПАСХИ

Ієрей починає: Слава святій, єдиносущній, животворящій і нероздільній Тройці: Отцю, і Сину, і Святому Духові, нині і повсякчас, і на віки віків.

Лик: Амінь.

Ієрей співає: Христос воскрес із мертвих: (3)

Потому ієрей читає оці молитви:

Молитва на благословення хліба

Ієрей: Господу помолімся.     Лик: Господи, помилуй.

Ієрей: Владико Святий, Отче Вседержителю, Предвічний Боже, благоволи освятити хліб цей Твоїм святим духовним благословенням, щоб був він усім, що споживають його, на спасення душі, на здоров’я тілесне і захист проти всіх недуг, всякого ворожого підступу.

Милістю і щедротами єдинородного Сина Твого, що з Ним благословен єси, з пресвятим і благим і животворящим Твоїм Духом, нині і повсякчас, і на віки віків.

Лик: Амінь.

Молитва на благословення пасхального агнця й іншої м’ясної поживи

Ієрей: Господу помолімся.  Лик: Господи, помилуй.

Ієрей: Споглянь, Господи, Ісусе Христе, Боже наш, на агнця цього й на всю іншу м’ясну поживу, благослови й освяти їх, як благословив і освятив єси агнця, що його Тобі привів вірний Авраам, і агнця, що його Тобі Авель приніс від плодів, також і теля годоване, що його звелів єси заколоти для сина блудного, що знову повернувся до Тебе. І як той сподобився насолодитися Твоєю ласкою, так і ми від Тебе, цих благословенних і освячених страв споживаючи, Твоє благословення зі здоров’ям всі одержимо, чесного ради хреста Твого й тридневного з мертвих воскресення.

Бо Ти є істинна Пожива й Податель благ, все благословляєш і освячуєш, Христе Боже наш, і Тобі славу возсилаємо з безначальним Твоїм Отцем і пресвятим і благим і животворящим Твоїм Духом, нині і повсякчас, і на віки віків.   Лик: Амінь.

Молитва на благословення молочної й іншої поживи

Ієрей: Господу помолімся.    Лик: Господи, помилуй.

Ієрей читає молитву:

Владико Господи Боже наш, що все сотворив, благослови сир, молоко, яйця й іншу поживу, й нас збережи у благості Твоїй, щоб ми, насолоджуючись цими Твоїми щедро поданими дарами, наситились і невимовної твоєї благости, ради пресвітлого з мертвих тридневного воскресення Господа нашого Ісуса Христа. Бо Твоя є влада, Отця, і Сина, і Святого Духа, нині, і повсякчас, і на віки віків.

Лик: Амінь.

Ієрей кропить свяченою водою, виголошуючи:

Благословляється і освячується вся пожива ця окропленням цієї свяченої води в ім’я Отця, і Сина, і Святого Духа. Амінь.

Ієрей чинить відпуст дня:

Христос, що воскрес із мертвих, смертю смерть подолав і тим, що в гробах, життя дарував, істинний Бог наш, молитвами пречистої своєї Матері і всіх святих, помилує і спасе нас як благий і чоловіколюбець.
